The Beckhoff EL6070 is a specialized EtherCAT terminal that functions as a hardware license key for TwinCAT 3.1 in modular EtherCAT I/O systems. It includes local memory where license files are stored and communicates license information over the EtherCAT bus.
This module eliminates the need for a separate USB dongle, integrating license management directly into the I/O network.
